Pre & Post Colonic Planning

There are certainly no rules regarding what to do before or after a colonic. There are, however, some things that we recommend so that you get the optimum results from your session:

Before your colonic:

-Do not eat 2 hours prior to your appointment

-It’s best to eat lightly 24 hours in advance. No heavy meals, no dairy, and no meat. Lean protein, fruits and veggies, and whole grains are preferred.

-The more hydrated you are the better.

-Try taking some Magnesium the night before to help facilitate easier movement during your session.

-Feel more at ease about your first session by watching some of our informational videos here: YouTube

After your colonic:

-No rigorous activity for at least 12 hours.

-Drink plenty of water and definitely something with electrolytes (i.e. coconut water, smart water).

-It’s best to eat lightly. No heavy meals, fried food, alcohol, meat, or dairy. Lean protein, fruits and veggies, and whole grains are preferred.

-Eating directly after a colonic is okay, and even suggested. Eating some protein like nuts or tofu can help prevent any faintness or extreme loss of energy.

-It is normal to not have a bowel movement in the next 24 hours.

-Foods like dark leafy greens and legumes may cause more gas than usual if eaten after a colonic. If you do eat them, it’s advised to take a digestive enzyme.

-If you notice a tiny amount of mucous or blood after a colonic, this is also completely normal.
